[2nd Division of General Affairs] A New Stop of Hsinchu Transit System Bus No. 9 Will Be Added at NYCU's Boai Campus on August 12 (Tue.), 2025. Faculty and Students Are Encouraged to Use It.
We are pleased to announce that starting Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Hsinchu Transit System (HTS) Bus No. 9 will add a new stop at NYCU's Boai Campus. This new stop enables direct access from the Boai Campus to the Liujia Campus (Wenxing-Jiaxing Rd. Intersection), Hsinchu Railway Station, and HSR Hsinchu Station—eliminating the need to transfer at the Guangfu Campus. Commuting, attending classes, and traveling via HSR will become significantly more convenient.
HTS Bus No. 9 is a newly established route launched by the Hsinchu County Government to meet students' and staff's peak-hour commuting demands. The route began trial operations on February 11, 2025, starting from Shengli 8th Street in Zhubei City, passing through HSR Hsinchu Station, Wenxing-Jiaxing Rd. Intersection, County Government Station, and various local schools, including Hsinchu Industrial High School, Hsinchu Girls’ High School, Hsinchu Railway Station, Hsinchu Senior High School, and Hsinchu Commercial Vocational High School.
The third phase of trial operations begins on August 12, 2025, with the Boai Campus added as the terminal stop. A total of 25 weekday trips are available (currently no service on weekends and national holidays). Route details are as follows:
1. Route Name: HTS Bus No. 9
2. Route: Shengli 8th Street ↔ NYCU's Boai Campus
3. Fare: Charged according to the Hsinchu County/City fare system (two-section fare), and compatible with monthly commuter passes (for Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City/County, and Miaoli City/County) and senior/compassionate fare cards (see Attachment 1).
4. Schedule: Refer to Attachment 2.
5. Boai Campus Boarding Location: See the photo below.
