Regarding the Emergency Power Supply Usage and Electricity Safety Guidelines at the Yangming Campus, details are as follows.
.The emergency power supply capacity of the generator on our campus is limited. Please refrain from setting up emergency power sources independently, and do not connect general electrical devices to emergency power sockets to avoid overloading the generator during power outages, leading to unstable power supply. If a unit needs to connect a new refrigerator to the emergency power supply, it should simultaneously replace the old refrigerator, and the power consumption of the new refrigerator should not exceed that of the old one.
.In order to enhance electrical safety on campus, when purchasing high-energy-consuming equipment (with a rated power greater than 1000W), please provide electrical specifications, including "voltage, current, and power," attached to the purchase order. Installation is subject to review by the General Affairs Office.
.If you need to install a new power supply, please contact the 1st Division of Construction and Maintenance for an inspection. If you install power sources or sockets privately, causing circuit overload or even electrical fires, you will be held legally responsible.
.If the name of the electrical panel starts with the letter "E," it is generally an emergency power source. If units request the installation of circuit outlets from vendors, it is essential to ensure that the construction contractor confirms the source of the electrical panel and labels the circuit names on the outlets, including "panel name, circuit, and voltage."
.Please avoid bringing high-energy-consuming devices such as hairdryers, microwaves, electric ovens, rice cookers, and electric heaters to the campus to prevent circuit overloads and subsequent circuit breaker trips.
.When using extension cords, avoid bundling them, and adhere to the maximum safe current value indicated on the extension cord to prevent wire overheating and plastic melting, which could result in electrical fires.
.If there are any questions regarding the above matters, please contact the 1st Division of Construction and Maintenance.
