The Graduation Gown Rental System

Rental

Eligibility: Priority will be given to the new graduates of the year (and students with delayed graduation).
Rental Period and Methods:
1. Groups：In the December of each year, after applying for graduation gown rental, the class representative of the applicant's department/institute/division is responsible for the group payment, collection, and forwarding.
2. Individuals：One week before the graduation ceremony, the applicant must apply to either the online application system or on paper , pay fees due, and collect the gowns in person.
Fees:
1. Maintenance fee for each gown: 120 NTD.
2. Those who apply for a graduation gown rental in period not announced by the university must pay an additional 200 NTD fee per gown for the
3. administrative processing.
  Those new graduates who have completed their school-leaving procedures must also pay a deposit.

Returning

Time to Return Graduation Gowns: Before June 30 of each year.
Methods of Returning Graduation Gowns:
1. Returning graduation gowns as a group: Bachelor’s graduation gown and Master’s graduation gown and medical students’ graduation gowns should be returned on a group basis in principle.
2. Returning graduation gowns individually: Doctoral Gowns could be returned by an individual.
Penalty for late Return: Those who have delayed returns will be charged a late return penalty of 50 NTD for every day past the due date (excluding holidays).The maximum penalty amount should be the price of the graduation gown. For those who have paid a deposit, the university may deduct the penalty from the deposit.
NOTICE: It is not allowed to wash or modify the gown by yourself. Compensation should be made according to the price if there is any loss, damage, or missing piece.

Graduation Gown Rental

Rental Period: From March to June each year (per the announced period)
Rental Methods:
- Groups: After new graduates (undergraduate and master’s students) apply online for graduation gown rental, the representatives of the applicants’ department/institute/division can come to collect the graduation gowns for their department/institute/division.
- Individuals: After new doctoral graduates apply online for graduation gown rental, they can come to collect the graduation gowns themselves. Those new graduates who have completed their school-leaving procedures have to fill out the "Application Form for Graduation Gown Rental for Individuals" and submit it to the 2nd Division of General Affairs for graduation gown rental within the announced period.
Fees:
- Maintenance fee for each gown: bachelor’s graduation gown: 85 NTD; master’s graduation gown: 160 NTD; doctoral graduation gown: 600 NTD.
- Those new graduates who have completed their school-leaving procedures have to pay security deposit.
- Those who apply for graduation gown rental in a period not announced by the university have to pay 200 NTD for the administrative process fee per gown in addition to the maintenance fee.

Returning Graduation Gowns

Time to Return Graduation Gowns: After the graduation ceremony ends each year (per the announced time).
Methods of Returning Graduation Gowns:
- Returning graduation gowns as a group: undergraduate and master’s students
- Returning graduation gowns as an individual: Doctoral students and those new graduates who have completed their school-leaving procedures.

For those who have paid the security deposit in advance, the penalty for delayed return may be deducted from their deposit.
